Six-year-old Kylo was born in the Philippines with spina bifida, hydrocephalus, and clubfoot. Having undergone 11 major surgeries, he has faced extraordinary medical challenges since birth. Maya’s Hope has been by his side since he was a baby, providing essential supplies, medications, and support through years of hospitalizations and treatments. When his mother, Maral, discovered opportunities for specialized medical care in Canada, Maya’s Hope helped make their journey possible. Today, Kylo and Maral live in Canada, beginning an exciting new chapter together. We are thrilled to welcome them to New York City for the 15th Anniversary Maya’s Hope Lotus Ball, where Kylo will be our first special guest originally from the Philippines. His journey is a beautiful reminder of what 15 years of kindness, generosity, and hope can make possible.
